New Mexico CCW Requirements

To apply for a New Mexico Concealed Handgun License (CHL), you must complete a state-approved CCW course, pass a background check, and submit your application to the NM Department of Public Safety (DPS).

What to Bring

Valid government-issued photo ID
Your firearm (unloaded, in a case)
Ammunition (as specified by instructor)
Eye and ear protection
Proof of payment / registration
